Subscribe to Akamai Traffic
To start receiving Akamai traffic, please follow the steps below:
1. Tagging Community on Your Prefixes
Click here to view the guidelines for tagging communities (at 1:37 in the video)All prefixes must be announced under the same AS if you are not using a local DNS. If you are using a local DNS, you can announce only the prefixes using the same DNS under the same AS.
2. Traffic Activation
After announcing your prefixes with the required community, Akamai traffic should become available within 24 to 48 hours. However, this does not guarantee continuous traffic flow.
3. Ensuring Traffic Stability
To ensure stable traffic, it is recommended that members send an official request email to Akamai. The email should include the following details:
- Your organization name
- Autonomous System (AS) number
- Announced prefixes
- DNS NSLookup details
- monitoring IP (Provide Two or More)
